The Girls' Guide to Cody, Wyoming

this cody, wyoming guide is brought to you by our community lead, brooke davidson. wait - community lead? what the heck is that? our community leads are the incredible women that bring the #girlgetafterit community to life in their city. besides coming to one of @ggaicody’s amazing events, here’s what she suggests that you hit up while you’re in town!

where to eat and drink:

for your morning brew + breakfast:

  • Rocky Mountain Mudd has the best coffee for someone looking for a quick pick-me-up. They have a couple drive-thru stations around town, and their blended Java Chip is unbeatable.

  • The Station for a gourmet crepe experience and a cool place to hangout, especially when it's warm enough to sit out on their patio!

  • Rawhide if you really want that true western vibe. The Beta burrito is incredible.

after a day of high elevation adventuring the best spot to refuel:

  • Trailhead Bar + Grill has the tastiest pizzas and apps in all of town. It's true Cody quirkiness in a nutshell: industrial, modern vibe and... some random taxidermy and pastoral photography.

ready to hit the town for a while? check out these bars + breweries:

Things to do:

outdoor activities

  • Beck + Newton Lakes for fishing and/or paddleboarding.

  • Check out Wyoming River Trips or Gradient Mountain Sports for all your river rafting needs!

  • Head up to the Beartooth Mountains for some great hikes and epic views!

indoor/in town activities

  • Buffalo Bill Center of the West houses 6 different museums. Brooke’s personal favorites are The Plains Indians and the Natural History museums.

  • Summertime exclusive the Cody Nite Rodeo! They happen every night from June - August!

Brooke’s Must-do:

Obviously a huge part of Cody is the fact that it's right next to Yellowstone National Park, so you can't plan a trip here without planning to drive to the East Gate and explore the park a bit. It's world famous for a reason, but you're just as likely to see wildlife on the forest outside of the park as you are within the park itself, so keep your eyes peeled as you make the drive, too!

Visiting Cody soon? Or already living there and searching for community? Meet Community Lead, Brooke, and tons of other incredible and super fun girls here! Our community leads host monthly events to give women an opportunity to meet new people, try new things, and have fun …all in a non-intimidating environment.
