wellness is my passion, community is my purpose.
Girl, Get After It was a “happy accident” that came into my life when I least expected it, and also at a time when I needed it the most.
When I was 22 years old, I suddenly lost my dad. In the years that followed, I went through immense periods of grief and depression — feeling disconnected from anything and anyone that my “old life” consisted of.
I knew I needed a support system, but tbh, I wasn’t resonating with anything that was out there. So, instead of searching for a squad, I created one. What started as a selfish act, soon turned into a supportive, local community I could only dream of.
Since hosting my first event back in 2017, I’ve seen first-hand just how life-changing it can be to feel seen, heard and supported — for both myself and the people I’ve connected with along the way. You start to believe in yourself. You begin to dream bigger. You chase goals, you get after it, and you inspire others to do the same.
Now, I know just how important your mental, physical and emotional health is to your overall well-being, how community plays a huge role in your professional and personal success, and how the feeling of being supported can ultimately change your life.
With the help of #GGAI, I have made it my life’s mission to empower women all over the world through movement, community and impact.

TOP 5 GGAI MOMENTS
launching an apparel line
When someone asked me if I could put “Girl, Get After It” on a t-shirt, my first response was “sure — but how do you do that?” Little did I know, launching our first-ever shirt would catapult #GGAI to new heights, while encouraging women everywhere to get after it and chase their dreams. Here is a photo of our first t-shirt ever, ha! Might not be our best work, but it sure is meaningful.
partnering with red bull
In the fall of 2022, I opened up an email from a woman who worked at Red Bull asking if I wanted to hop on a call to chat about some partnership opportunities. At first I didn’t believe the email was real (like I legit stalked her on LinkedIn to double-check). But, once it was all verified, I threw the biggest fit of excitement! So grateful to have such a badass community partners that believes wholeheartedly in the work we are doing.
Our first event — ever!
I hosted the very first #GGAI event back in 2017 in my home of Bozeman, Montana. I convinced a friend to teach yoga, bought some bevvys, and had stickers for everyone that said (you guessed it) “#GIRLGETAFTERIT.” I put the event out on Facebook thinking the only people that were going to come were 5 of my friends. ‘Lo and behold, 40+ women came out to move and connect! That was what sparked it all.
taking advice from my mom
During the pandemic, #GGAI took a huge hit. The very essence of who we were (an in-person community) felt like it was failing.
My mom and I had a conversation to talk about it all, and she told me this — “Community is a feeling. It’s not tied to a place or a moment in time.” A piece of advice that I’ll never, ever forget.
Expanding IRL outside of MT
After putting our events on hold due to COVID, I was sooo ready to get back to our purpose of building meaningful connections — IRL!
Today, my greatest joy is watching the #GGAI community grow to new cities across the country and, in turn, empower more women to get after it, chase their dreams and feel supported along the way. There’s nothing cooler than seeing the magic unfold right before your eyes.
