  • "I got to do something I love while pushing myself, all within an environment of understood support."

This retreat was such an incredible adventure! I got to do something I love while pushing myself in the best way, all within an environment of understood support. Being with an all-women's group where everyone just "gets it" brought so much joy and comfort.

The trails had stunning views that made every step feel like an accomplishment, and I gained so much practical knowledge from our guides. And it wasn’t just about the running! The breathwork sessions, yoga, and river dips in between were the perfect mix of relaxation and fun, making the whole experience fulfilling and healing and joyful.

    — Chassidy M.

  • "The perfect amount of difficulty, both physically and mentally."

Attending the trail running retreat provided the perfect amount of difficulty, both physically and mentally. The supportive community of fellow runners and experienced guides created an encouraging atmosphere that made each tough stretch feel achievable, and left me feeling stronger and more connected to my love for trail running than ever before. I had the best time!

  • “The trail running retreat was the exact medicine that I needed!"

The trail running retreat was the exact medicine that I needed! Deeply nourishing in so many ways: time in nature, meals, body movement, and cherished connections that will last a lifetime!

  • "I’ve been on 3 GGAI retreats now and always leave with the biggest smile on my face!"

I’ve been on 3 GGAI retreats now and always leave each one with awesome new friends and the biggest smile on my face! Cass is so thoughtful with every aspect of the experience and makes it fun for everyone. Going on these retreats has been one of the things I look forward to most each year!

    — Amy R.

  • “I absolutely loved my weekend spent running around in the mountains"

I absolutely loved my weekend spent running around in the mountains of Paradise Valley. Even as a born-and-raised Montanan, I got to experience new trails that I hadn't stepped foot on before. The weekend was the perfect mix of connection with new (+ amazing) people, relaxed hang-time, recovery river dips, and delicious meals. I am already on the waitlist for the next one!

    — Nicole W.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • This retreat is meant for women with a beginner/intermediate+ skill level of running.

We do ask that you have been trail running before and are comfortable being in a high-aerobic atmosphere.

We’ll be running 3 out of the 5 days we are together, with runs being in the 8-14 mile range, upwards of 3,000+ feet of elevation gain, and on some days being on the trail for the majority of the day (reminder - trail miles are much slower and longer than road miles). There is not a pace requirement as pace is totally up to you.

PLEASE NOTE: this is not a training or ultra camp, but we do ask that our attendees adequately prepare in the months leading up to the retreat so that you and the entire group have an enjoyable and safe experience.

As you may know, trail running doesn’t necessarily mean you are running the entire time. It will be a mix of hiking and power walking at times. All of our outings will be “no drop runs” with multiple guides, where no runner will be left behind.

  • Trail running gear such as a hydration vest and shoes are not provided. A full packing list will be shared upon registration to help you prepare for the adventure that lies ahead.

Need some help? We’re happy to support you in this area!

  • All meals and drinks are included, with the majority of our breakfasts and lunches being eaten on the trail and our dinners being enjoyed back at the house.

We are happy to accommodate dietary restrictions and food preferences.

  • We are staying at a venue located about 50-minutes from the Bozeman Airport.

We will be providing transportation during the weekend retreat activities for on-site guests, but please note that transportation to and from the lodge is not included for Thursday arrival and Monday departure.

There are ubers/lyfts/taxis available in Bozeman, as well as ample on-site parking if you choose to have a car for the weekend.

Additional note - please arrive to Bozeman on or before September 29th, with an arrival flight that lands no later than 4:00 PM (we’ll have dinner around 5:30pm) and a departure flight that takes off no earlier than 11:00 AM on September 2nd (closing remarks will be around 9:00am).

for those who — are avid trail runners but want to be in some of Montana’s wildest terrain

  • Yes! Once you're signed up, you will be added to our private group chat on Instagram where we’ll all get the chance to say hello, talk packing list, who's flying from where, and more.

  • We get it. Things happen! But, we also have to plan accordingly on our end too. A $600 non-refundable deposit is due at time of booking. We repeat — the deposit is non-refundable.

Your remaining balance is non-refundable 60-days prior to the retreat start date (unless we find someone last minute to fill your spot). Thanks for understanding that we have to pay our vendors in a timely manner, regardless if you attend or not.
